NASA’s Lunar CRater Observation and Sensing Satellite (LCROSS) mission will come to a dramatic conclusion at approximately 4:30 a.m. PDT (7:30 a.m. EDT) on Friday, Oct 9, 2009, with the impact of the LCROSS Centaur upper stage rocket and four minutes later, the impact of the LCROSS Shepherding Spacecraft into Cabeus crater near the moon’s south pole. To mark the event, NASA Ames Research Center is hosting ‘LCROSS Impact Night.’ News media are invited to cover the three-part event that is open to the public and free of charge.

Their LCROSS mission will blast off from Cape Canaveral, Florida, carrying a missile that will blast a hole in the lunar surface at twice the speed of a bullet. The missile, a Centaur rocket, will be steered by a shepherding spacecraft that will guide it towards its target - a crater close to the Moon's south pole. Scientists expect the blast to be so powerful that a huge plume of debris will be ejected.

This guys plan to destroy the moon and we stand and look....???

This is Incredible Their only want to destroy ..
If he do that and maybe the Moon is belong of other Race
And we will have a War ? what then ?
Their do what sent our small Bombs .
I think before do something like that have to ask all the people from the world

I do not think that they should be bombing the moon for any thing even if it is for water it is not like that if the earth runs our of water where going to go to outer space to get water... NO we will just find a way to get water. but do we realy need to know if water is there we know the moon does not have any thing living on it. so we should just leave the moon to do its job and light up the nights sky like it does to day.
